NT: Nurse removed from community after alleged threats

DARWIN, Jan 19 AAP - Health authorities removed a nurse from a remote Aboriginal community
after she alleged her life had been threatened.

The nurse complained she had been threatened by two relatives of a woman whom she had
treated at the Nyrripi Health Centre, west of Alice Springs, for head injuries.

The injuries were the result of a domestic dispute.

Territory Health Service spokesman Ian Krundel alleged the patient's mother and husband
had threatened the nurse because treating the women was against "traditional business".
