SCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- More than 17% of American families report that someone in their household is on a low-carbohydrate diet, according to new research from ACNielsen.
Importantly, a slightly higher number (19.2%) say that someone in their household was once on such a diet but is no longer.
"The low-carb diet craze is having a significant impact on how people eat," notes Todd Hale, ACNielsen's senior vice president of consumer insights.
