WE KNOW that these days an ever-increasing number of people feel the need to display their relationship status on their networking sites for all of their friends and followers to see - but the couple who updated Facebook whilst stood at the altar have taken this to a whole new level.
US groom Dana Hanna whipped out his mobile phone as soon as the registrar said "I now pronounce you husband and wife" in order to change his Facebook status to "married" and to make the announcement on his Twitter. To take things even further, this was filmed and the video placed on YouTube. Naturally, the video was an internet hit.
I'm really trying to embrace all the new technology - and not be a dinosaur going on about the loss of writing etc - but seriously? I know it was probably done to be funny, but surely this is taking things too far? When they have grandkids that'll be the equivalent of saying you got out your Betamax at one of the most important moments in your life.
